40 years ago, a young artist named Tom Lindhardt witnessed an event that changed the world of children’s play. One of his large, brightly coloured sculptures had been placed in a new housing estate to add colour to the otherwise drab surroundings. Realising that children were more interested in playing on it than admiring it, Lindhardt decided to start his own play equipment company and today we see more imaginative and brightly coloured Outdoor play equipment than ever before.
This week at The Pond we saw the start of the installation of our own fantastic Outdoor play equipment. Physical play is a huge part of your 2 year olds learning process and this great equipment of climbing frames, tunnels, toadstools and musical instruments will encourage them to roll, crawl, run , climb and play.
Next week we should see some of the great indoor equipment too!!
